Wawira is the winner of the prestigious 2024 Skoll Award, the Elevate Prize, and the Lipman Prize at UPenn. She is a 2021 Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum, the inaugural recipient of Cisco’s Global Citizen Youth Leadership Prize 2018 and the 2021 United Nations Kenya Person of the Year. Wawira has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of South Australia.

Her work has been centred on strategic operations, scale and expansion, financial strategy development, risk management, and internal control & processes implementation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from KCA University, CPA(K), and an Executive MBA from United States International University - Africa. She has also completed an Executive leadership program from Harvard Business School.

Throughout his career, Stanley has specialized in navigating complex regulatory environments and leading high-stakes financial projects in the FMCG and Telecommunications sectors. He was the first CFO for Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia Plc, the first private telecoms supplier in Ethiopia where he led the set up of the finance processes, as well as the negotiations for $200 million of funding from local banks and international DFIs. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in Diageo in senior finance positions in Kenya, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and also served as Director for Global Audit & Risk for Diageo’s Africa and Europe markets. He has also worked at Barclays Kenya (now Absa). Stanley began his career at Deloitte & Touché in the tax department. He currently serves as a Board Member for Mercy Corps Global & Europe and also in Mercy Corps' Joint Board Audit & Risk Committee. He graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Nairobi, is a qualified accountant, and is a member of both the Institute of Certified Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya.

For five years, he worked for the Thomson Reuters Foundation and led the delivery of its pro bono service, TrustLaw, in Africa. He has been an environmental lawyer advocating for communities affected by large projects. Earlier in his career, to that Shalom worked for a law firm in Nairobi that focused on public administration and constitutional law. He possesses both a degree in Organizational Psychology, from Helderberg College, and a degree in Law, from the University of Cape Town, both in South Africa.

She brings a strong track record in financial management, risk and compliance, talent development, and organizational governance. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and has held senior leadership roles at Dalberg Advisors, Sanlam, and Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Uganda, where she led multi-country finance operations, strengthened internal controls, and delivered complex donor and stakeholder engagements. Lydia holds an MBA from Strathmore University, a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Makerere University, and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK, as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is passionate about building strong institutions that deliver sustainable impact at scale.

Before joining Food4Education, Lia worked as an independent consultant across social impact sectors supporting organizations in designing, implementing and learning from high-impact programs. She has a strong background in qualitative research, facilitation, visual communication, and participatory methodologies. Before starting her own practice, she led learning and program design at the UN World Food Programme’s East Africa Innovation Hub, driving innovation in East and Central African food systems. Lia holds an MSc in International Development Management from the London School of Economics & Political Science and a BA in Sociology from Northeastern University.

Kristin began her career at Citi in Investment Banking. She was a member of the White House Council for Community Solutions and is a frequent lecturer at UC Berkeley and Stanford. Kristin is a Pahara Aspen Fellow, an Ashoka Fellow and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. She serves on the Board of Directors for Generate Capital, a leading clean energy investment company and sustainable infrastructure operator. She is currently a Senior Fellow of Draper Richard Kaplan (DRK) which invests exclusively in social entrepreneurs driving systems change. Most recently, Kristin was recognized as one of Inc.’s Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs of 2020 and Revolution Foods was twice named B Corp’s “Best for the World” Companies in 2021 and 2022. Kristin holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Boston College and a M.B.A. from U.C. Berkeley. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons.

Prior to her time at One Acre Fund, Michelle was the Deputy Regional Director of Amnesty International, where she facilitated the development and launch of the new office for East Africa, Horn of Africa and Great Lakes Region. Michelle feels fortunate to have spent more than two decades in careers that reflect her passion for the advancement of human empowerment and social justice. Michelle has a Master of Science in Development Management from the Open University, an LLM in International Criminal Law and Armed Conflict from the University of Nottingham, and an LLB from the University of Nairobi.

Dr. Gitahi is renowned as a leader on the global and regional front with notable achievements including former Co-Chair of the UHC2030 Steering Committee (a global World Bank and World Health Organization (WHO) initiative for Universal Health Coverage (UHC)). He serves on a number of Boards, notably – Board of Directors of The Standard Group in Kenya, Board of Trustees of Safaricom Foundation, Governing Board of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and prevention (Africa CDC) and was recently appointed to the Board of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI). He serves on the Commission on Africa’s COVID-19 Response and is a member of the Unilever Sustainability Advisory Council. Dr. Gitahi holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the University of Nairobi and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the United States International University.

Previously, she served as Chief of Staff to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Counselor to the U.S. Department of State. She also served as Deputy Counsel to President Clinton and as the White House Associate Counsel. Ms. Mills currently serves on the board of BlackRock, iHeart Media, the Clinton Foundation and Maya Angelou Public Charter School.

As Chair and CEO, he is focused on helping companies, cities, and countries around the world as they look to Cisco to connect, secure, and automate their organizations for a digital-first world. Prior to joining Cisco, Chuck held management positions at Bay Networks and Ascend Communications. Mr. Robbins serves on the Board of Directors for BlackRock, the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, the Business Roundtable, and is on the Board of Trustees for the Ford Foundation.

She served as the Head of Advancement and Chief communications Officer for Youth INC in NYC and worked with the Virgin brands and singer-songwriter Jewel to create a major campaign around youth homelessness. Ariel has built her career to marry resource with need, and now helps lead that effort for Food for Education in the US. Ariel has an MBA from Notre Dame and a BA from Rutgers College.
